Top-10 2012 Recruit Rodney Purvis Considering Missouri, N.C. State

Jul 29, 2011 11:54 AM

Rodney Purvis verbally committed to Louisville last December, but backed out when assistant coach Tim Fuller left for Missouri.

Purvis is now considering Missouri and N.C. State, but did not add any other schools to his list.

"I’m going to have to look at some things after this tournament," Purvis said. "I’m not sure (if Louisville will be back in the picture) right now. I just have to look at some things, think everything out and then come up with a final list.

"Right now, I am focused on basketball. I’ve been letting my mom handle the recruiting part. I just want to try and win (at AAU Nationals)."

Purvis is considered a top-10 prospect in the Class of 2012.

Keith Ramsey and Justin Safford, who played together at Missouri when they reached the Elite 8 in 2009, signed with LF Basket Norrbotten of the Swedish Basketball League.

“It’s a great chance to continue playing basketball and see the world,” Ramsey said. “I’m learning more and more about the city and it looks like we are going to a real nice place with great people. And having Justin there makes it that much easier.”
